SPACE ENGINE Horizons 2.4.2: Mountaineering

Description

A look at the elevations of selected peaks in an impact crater.

M1 - 29,960 ft (1.032 everests)
M2 - 41,050 ft (1.414 everests)
M3 - 23,330 ft (0.8037 everests)
M4 - 16,290 ft (0.5612 everests)
M5 - 19,100 ft (0.6580 everests)
M6 - 22,790 ft (0.7851 everests)

Given that the left side of the crater was once underwater, one would expect the geology of the mountains to be sedimentary based. The region under M2 appears to be formed from significant erosion, possibly due to large volumes of melt water from the glaciers around M3.

I like the term "everests".
